SOUTH BANK, LONDON

 South Bank , London is a good place to visit on warm days and evenings. The views across the river are lovely.  A ride on The London Eye is a must and there are plenty of bars and cafes for a drink or a meal .

SEA MIST

Hot weather often produces a sea mist in the mornings, sometimes called fret or harr on the east coast.Lovely to watch it clear as the sun comes out and reveals what is going on on the ocean.

The weather is hot and I am reminded of how we used to play in the street when we were children.Not an option in many streets today,too much traffic .

Street football and cricket, ring-a roses,hopscotch,marbles,leap frog and many more games were played with the better off kids owning scooters and bicycles. A visit to the corner shop for a ice cream cornet or a bottle of Irn-Bru were treats during the long summer holidays.
Innovative kids would make go-carts with bits from old prams and baby buggies.
